Dig For Victory - 1900's

By Adam Temple

During both world wars, Australia, UK and the US (and more) used their mighty propaganda engine to do a productive thing. Fearing food shortages from men leavings farms for war, they told people to plant a garden.

In the US apparently this produced as much fresh fruits and vegetables as commercial production.

The war caused both sides to turn their yards into gardens. Some beauty from ashes.
